May 23rd, 2017, Issue #30

These have been tough love months for me, and for what I can hear from others, it has been too.

I have been seeing lots of birth and death related issues, and it seems like even though we truly know that there is people dying right now at this moment, we tend to act as if this is never happening to us, or at least any time soon.

It seems so hard to forget, forgive and move on. Our ego is very attached and it makes it very hard for our soul to walk the path if we are not willing to let go.

Why do I say that ? Because if we actually did live in resonance to this life being a quick passage, and took this very seriously, we would all be so happy. On the other side, people who are being triggered and somehow do want to take the route of SELF Realization, are doing the work. We all need to wake up and smell the coffee and we cant wait (This is how it feels under this New Moon). No wonder plant ceremonies, as in awakening rituals to the man’s consciousness are taking more and more shelter in the hearts of people… we need to drop our minds to our hearts and awaken our dormant intuition. We all do, I do too. . .

GEMINI New Moon: Sometimes only the BEST will do

New moons help us clear out and start over. This new moon is an important change-point. It carries the unmistakable scent of freedom. I see electric blue eyes illuminating a vast skyscape. I see mercury quivering, unleashed, free to be as it was meant to be: a quicksilver feather drifting aloft.

To reap the highest potential from the New Moon in Gemini: move about, break open, fly toward the next adventure. If a vacation is not possible, even a short one, then you could explore internally with a summer class. Anything that whisks us to a new destination, within or without. . .

Our Mantra Today

Muladhara CHAKRA:

Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha

Meaning: Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha means “I bow to Ganesh, the remover of obstacles. I pray for protection and blessing”. Ganesh symbolizes the quality within ourselves that can overcome challenging difficulties, whether they be on the inside (like negative thoughts) or outside (an important interview).

What it does: Affirming your ability to overcome difficulties is deeply empowering. While it may not be the easiest route to take, difficulties were made to be conquered- even if that means the real lesson is learning how to accept defeat or loss.

#SPIRITUAL wisdom:

By Caroline Joy Adams

“Your life is a sacred journey. And it is about change, growth, discovery, movement, transformation, continuously expanding your vision of what is possible, stretching your soul, learning to see clearly and deeply, listening to your intuition, taking courageous challenges at every step along the way.”

“You are on the path exactly where you are meant to be right now. And from here, you can only go forward, shaping your life story into a magnificent tale of triumph, of healing, of courage, of beauty, of wisdom, of power, of dignity, and of love.“

Put greens on everything

Heal your Diet
by putting greens on everything 🙂

New Moons are perfect periods for cleaning our life, and getting the GOOD on everything. A great incentive to do is to put greens in everything that we already eat, and thats a lot already.

My favorite is to recycle Pasta and roasted veggies, add my greens and it makes a perfect Breakfast, lunch or dinner. Ready ?

VEGGIE PASTA WITH GREENS AND PEAS.

Ingredients

1 pound pasta
3-4 cups fresh peas
5 scallions, thinly sliced
1 shallot, very finely diced
1 cup chopped fresh mint
1 cup chopped Italian parsley
½ cup olive oil
2 lemons – zest and ¼ cup juice
2 cups fresh pea shoots, baby spinach or arugula
1 teaspoon salt, plus more to taste
½ teaspoon white pepper ( or black is OK)
1 tablespoon truffle oil – I prefer white
Optional- goat cheese crumbles

Instructions
  1. Boil pasta in a generous amount of salted water according to directions.
  2. During the very last minute of cooking, if serving this as a warm entree- add the peas to the pasta and just lightly blanch. ( See Notes)
  3. While the pasta is cooking, prep the rest of the ingredients.
  4. Chop the scallions, shallots and herbs.
  5. Zest two lemons, and measure out ¼ cup lemon juice ( you may need more).
  6. Once the pasta is just about done, add the peas to the boiling pasta water and blanch for one minute, or just until bright green. Immediately drain, place pasta and peas in large bowl, drizzle with olive oil, lemon juice and season with 1 tsp salt and ½ tsp pepper.
  7. Toss in the pea shoots (or other greens) and add the scallions, shallot, herbs and lemon zest. Stir
  8. Taste, adjusting salt and lemon juice, adding more of both, if necessary. ( Sometimes pasta takes a while to absorb the salt and lemon – so make sure to taste this again after a few minutes -the saltiness will have settled down quite a bit, and you may need more especially if you did not salt your pasta water)
  9. Drizzle with truffle oil and serve immediately.
  10. NOTE: if making this as a pasta salad– make sure to rinse pasta and peas in very very cold water to stop the peas from cooking any longer…this will help them keep their lovely bright green color. If making the pasta salad ahead, always taste it right before serving, it may need a little more seasoning ( salt, lemon, oil, truffle) Add the goat cheese right before serving.
  11. This serves 4 as a main course or 8 as a side salad.

PRAYER: Lord don’t change any circumstance in my life, change me.

Pranayama

A n e w  moon ☽ ritual for tonight & these coming days

Master your Breath

Gemini rules the voice, I am a Gemini myself and I can see how volatile we are, therefore the organs to take care of are the LUNGS, the Arms, the Legs and the Nervous System overall.

So a perfect way to nurture your Self during these weeks is to truly commit to do your Pranayama or Breathing Excercises, my favorite way to Balance myself , because in the end if your nervous system is wrecked – it is very difficult to be well overall▽.
